Julius Caesar (100BC-44BC) is perhaps the most famous Roman in history. Conquering swathes of Europe and Africa, Caesar was not only a talented politician but a brilliant tactician. It is from Caesar's assassination that we get the Ides of March, the warning given to the great emperor by his wife before his fellow senators stabbed him to death, fearful of a dictatorship that would topple the system of republic the Romans enjoyed. This Julius Caesar's Sword is a replica of the man himself's weapon. A shimmering, imperial simulated silver finish adorns the fittings and scabbard endtips that are etched with Roman motifs and equipped with suspension points for a sword belt. The blade itself is a modest 20” cast metal blade, 2.5” at its widest point, with a distinctive fuller or “blood groove.”? PRODUCT DETAILS
