Product Details

This cutlass would have been carried by unemployed privateers intercepting the treasures held by Spanish ships. Similar to the U.S. Marine cutlass, this Napoleonic era piece was used by pirates roaming the Spanish Main a thoroughfare of the enormous wealth hoarded by Spain from the new world around Florida, the Gulf of Mexico and the north coast of South America. This cutlass features the traditional curved blade topped by a simulated brass handle with an interesting wire design around the handle. The black scabbard, which accompanies the piece, has attractive fittings that match the sword's handle. PRODUCT DETAILS
